Vendors often revise pricing, deliverables, service levels, timelines, and liability terms between rounds, and in a long proposal those edits are easy to miss. Justee compares two documents at a time, such as a vendor's revised proposal against its first response, or a vendor's markup against the contract you issued with the RFP. It shows additions, deletions, and rewording side by side, so you can check how each change affects cost, scope, or risk. Public buyers should also follow the procurement rules that apply to them. Initially, do high-level comparison of all responses against RFP requirements to identify finalists. Then do detailed, line-by-line comparison of finalist proposals and all their subsequent revisions during negotiation. Detailed comparison is essential for final selection and contract negotiation but may be overkill for early-round elimination.

Document all deviations specifically. Determine if deviations are: clarifications (acceptable), improvements (consider if valuable), minor deviations (request correction), or material non-compliance (may disqualify or require major revision). Fair evaluation requires assessing all vendors against the same RFP standard. Request conforming responses before proceeding.

Critical areas: total cost and pricing structure, deliverables and scope, performance timelines, service level agreements and penalties, payment terms, warranties and representations, limitation of liability and indemnification, intellectual property ownership, termination rights and costs, and maintenance/support terms. Changes in these areas significantly affect value and risk.

Yes, when appropriate. If comparison reveals deviations from RFP, inform vendor and request conformance. If comparing vendor proposals, use insights to negotiate better terms: "Vendor B offered X terms, can you match?" Transparency about requirements and competition often yields better outcomes. However, maintain confidentiality of vendor-specific proprietary information.

Score every vendor against the same criteria: conformance with RFP requirements, pricing and value, technical approach, terms and risk allocation, and vendor qualifications. Justee's comparison works best on documents that share a common base, such as successive drafts from the same vendor or each vendor's markup of your contract template. For proposals in very different formats, compare each vendor's revisions round by round and evaluate the substance against your scoring sheet, not the presentation.

You choose the governing law before the analysis runs. With the U.S. option, any U.S. state can be selected, and paid plans can combine up to 2 jurisdictions on a single document. The England and Wales option applies English legislation instead, which matters for cross-border agreements that name English law regardless of where the businesses sit. Scotland and Northern Ireland are not yet supported.

Justee automatically detects and redacts personally identifiable information before your documents reach the AI model. Protected types include:

  • Names, email addresses, and phone numbers
  • Social Security numbers and tax identifiers (ITIN)
  • Physical addresses and dates of birth
  • Credit card and bank account numbers
  • Driver's license and passport numbers
  • Medical provider identifiers (NPI) and case numbers
Corporate and business data:
  • Company and organization names
  • Business addresses and geographic locations
  • SWIFT/BIC codes, IBAN numbers, and bank routing numbers
  • Business license numbers and attorney bar IDs
  • Corporate tax identifiers (EIN)
Detection is best-effort and cannot guarantee catching everything: certain rare identifiers (such as cryptocurrency wallet addresses and MAC addresses) may not be detected automatically. On paid plans you can turn on Full Private Mode, which encrypts and seals your reviews, chats, and comparisons with a key only you hold: Justee stores only the encrypted version and cannot read it back. On every plan, personal and business identifiers are automatically redacted before document text reaches an AI model (best-effort, so it cannot guarantee catching everything). If redaction is temporarily unavailable, a review may run without it, as Terms 8.5 explain. Nothing you submit is used to train AI models.
