Privacy & Data FAQ

Justee collects your account information (name, email), the documents you upload, your chats and comparisons, and technical and usage data such as IP address, device, and log data. We use analytics and advertising cookies, which you can manage with the Privacy settings link in the footer. We do not sell your data for money.

Reviews and comparisons in your account, including the documents you upload, are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Chats may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity. On paid plans, items in Full Private Mode are deleted automatically when the deletion window you set ends (1 to 365 days, or kept until you delete them). Reviews, comparisons, and chats made without an account are deleted automatically after 24 hours. If you sign up or sign in from the chat within that time, you choose first: keep your chats (they move into your account and are kept like your other chats), start fresh (they are deleted), or start a private chat on a paid plan (they are deleted). If your plan stops including the Vault, you have 30 days to download or delete your Vault files before they are deleted. System logs, which can include your account ID, email address, and document names, are kept for up to 24 months.

Yes. In your account settings, you can individually delete your reviews, chat conversations, or document comparisons. You can also delete all data at once while keeping your account, or permanently delete your entire account.

Account deletion permanently removes your profile, uploaded documents, analyses, chat history, comparisons, and Vault files. Two kinds of records are kept: a billing record (your email address, plans purchased, payment history, and payment processor customer ID), kept for at least 7 years for tax and accounting purposes, and system logs, which can include your account ID, email address, and document names, kept for up to 24 months. Copies in encrypted backups expire on their normal schedule. Account deletion is irreversible. Even if you keep your account, chats may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.

We do not sell your documents. To run the service we use the service providers listed in Section 5.1 of our Privacy Policy: your files are stored on Amazon Web Services, and PII-redacted text (redaction is best-effort) is sent to our AI model provider (Google Gemini) and our embeddings service (OpenAI). Our AI providers do not use your content to train models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

For standard-mode content, yes. Authorized Justee staff can open your documents, analyses, comparisons, and chats to provide support, investigate problems, improve the service, keep it secure, and meet legal obligations, as described in Section 5.9 of our Privacy Policy. Staff cannot read items you protect with Full Private Mode (paid plans) or files in your Vault, because those are encrypted with a key only you hold.

No. Your documents and conversations are not used to train AI models. Justee's AI model provider is approved for zero data retention: request content is not retained, not logged for human review, and not used to train models. Your content is processed solely to deliver your analysis results.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Document files are stored in isolated cloud storage with strict access controls. We conduct regular security reviews and follow industry best practices for data protection.

Not in the strict sense, and we do not call it end-to-end because that would stretch the term. Your Vault files are sealed in your browser with a key only you hold, and their contents never reach our servers, not even to convert them for editing. What holds us back from the label is that the encryption runs in code your browser loads from us, so you are trusting that code and your device, which the strictest privacy designs are built to remove. We call it zero-access encryption instead: we store only the encrypted version and hold no key to open it. One note: if you send a Vault file into a review or comparison, it is unsealed in your browser for that task, and we tell you before that happens.

Justee uses an essential site cookie, a random identifier, to keep track of your free use and to remember that you accepted the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy when you use Justee without an account. It is not used for analytics or advertising. If your browser blocks cookies for justee.ai, your acceptance cannot be kept and you will be asked again. To allow it, add justee.ai to the sites allowed to use cookies in your browser settings, or turn off the extension or private browsing setting that blocks them.
