Both sides benefit from clarity and fewer disputes. Comparing each draft against the last is a sensible habit on either side of a licensing deal.

Raise it directly and politely, with specific references to the modified language. Explain that your understanding differs and reference prior discussions or agreements. Many parties ask for an explanation of the changes and propose alternative language. Most genuine issues are resolved when raised specifically. If a pattern of problematic changes continues, consider whether the other party is negotiating in good faith.

Very detailed. Licensing agreements are complex legal and commercial documents where every definition, limitation, and calculation method affects value and rights. Compare not just main provisions but also: defined terms, exhibits and schedules, calculation formulas, notice requirements, and boilerplate provisions. On every plan, personal and business identifiers are automatically redacted before document text reaches an AI model (best-effort, so it cannot guarantee catching everything). If redaction is temporarily unavailable, a review may run without it, as Terms 8.5 explain. Nothing you submit is used to train AI models.
